I was just trying to imagine the most popular candy bars we eat without chocolate. Like what if peanut butter cups werent covered in chocolate? Would they still be good? My favorite candy..Rollos...are caramel bites covered in chocolate. I know for a fact if chocolate wasnt involved I wouldnt like them as much. If you think about the most popular bars eaten...the majority of them are chocolate covered. Do you think you'd still like them if say they were even covered in white chocolate and not milk chocolate? Or what if they were covered with like syrup or something over chocolate? Might be a bad example but you get the point
Has anyone ever gone to Hershey Park? I've gone plenty of times considering I'm from PA and all. The chocolate there is amazing! It's sooo fresh and very cheap! The reason I thought of this is because my friends and I go to the park every winter before Christmas to see their light decorations. They cover the entire park with X-mas lights...and it's so pretty! If you havent gone in the winter you should...it's always nice to grab a cup of hot chocolate afterwards too!
So I was just sitting on my couch watching tv and shoving a Krispy Kreme doughnut in my face. I'm in love with doughnuts especially the glazed one with chocolate icing. That's when I thought of this blog. Do a lot of you enjoy things that are topped with chocolate? For instance, ice cream, cheese cake, and doughnuts?Chocolate ice cream is amazing...espeically with chocolate syrup on top. Cheese cake is good with chocolate drizzled on it. And doughnuts..well I just told you how good they are with chocolate on top. Another thing that's good is chocolate milk and hot chocolate. Living in PA,and having COLD winters, we are constantly drinking hot chocolate in my house. My mom makes these treats for X-mas and she gets pretty spoons and dips them in chocolate and lets it harden..then people put the spoons in their coffee/hot chocolate and the chocolate melts. It's a great extra for any hot drink. So again, anyone like chocolate as an extra?
In the U.K. in every year is being held a Chocolate Festival and it is called Chocolate Week. This festival usually runs from 15th October until 21st October.During this period the whole London is caught up by this fest.Chocolate Week primarily takes place in the chocolate shops involved – at their talks, tastings and events.During Chocolate Week people hold chocolate tastings ,demonstrations ,launches of new chocolate, they create chocolate fountains, sculptures and simply have lots of fun.
If I could I would like to go a festival like this,I will be really happy when I'll see myself surrounded by all that chocolate:)
Hey,as everybody knows the Thanks Giving day is coming up and people are getting ready to celebrate, they prepare the usual turkey and lots of tasty stuff just to fill the table. One of the best treats for holidays such Thanks giving day,Valentine's day , is the ordinary chocolate.People give to their relatives and close people a box of candy in order to show their appreciation and to express their feelings. For example on Valentine's day,a person would give his beloved one a box of chocolate in shape of a heart or something that represent love.Chocolate has become an ordinary treat and is very often found between presents that people make to each other .This denotes that people really appreciate chocolate refined taste.
I was watching "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" the other day. Have any of you ever seen it? Its a movie about a man named Willie Wonka and he owns this huge chocolate factory where he makes all kinds of candies. I was watching it and it reminded me of this chocolate blog, so I decided to write about it. That movie is really neat. It shows a whole lot of creativity when it comes to making candy. One part in the movie that was really interesting was when the actors entered a room that had a chocolate waterfall and everything else in the room was edible. I would love to take a trip to that Chocolate Factory if it were real. But they do have real Wonka Chocolate Bars sold at local stores. I haven't tried any of them yet, but I think I'll go buy some and see what the're like.
It seems I'm really into blogging today:)
Did you know that chocolate has first appeared around 3100 years ago in Central America but back then it wasn't considered as the sweet treat people now enjoy but as a celebratory beer-like beverage. Cacao seeds were used to make ceremonial beverages consumed by elites of the Aztecs and other civilizations. Latter on the Spanish conquistadors who conquered the Aztec empire in the 16th century have brought this delicious treat to Europe, where chocolate has amazed everybody who got to taste it.
Even back in those times chocolate was considered one of the best treats a person could enjoy,so it seems that chocolate has it's own amazing stories to tell...
Another kind of chocolates that I like, are those from my country.Back in Moldova we have a big chocolate factory ,Bucuria(in translation it means Joy), that has been making chocolate for more than 100 years,so it has it's own tradition and it's own specific tastes. They make all kinds and sorts of chocolate, from bitter black to sweet white.Bucuria always mixes chocolate and creates the most amazing flavours.Maybe I will have the chance to bring a box of chocolates in class:)So if you ever get to visit Moldova, that is an interesting place to see.
Hey,have you ever heard of Whispa? It is also made by Cadbury and it is one of the best chocolates I have ever eaten.Whispa comes in all shapes and colors, they make black, brown chocolate, black with white, but my favorite is the white one.Whispa has something that makes it unique, the whole chocolate bar is made of bubbles(small bubbles of chocolate) and it gives you a specific fine taste. When you put it your mouth it basically melts and gives you a fuzzy feeling.
I don't know if they sell this chocolate in the U.S but if you know where I can find it,please let me know, because I'm crazy about it:)
I was surfing the web, and I saw a website all about chocolate. It had everything about chocolate! Here are some facts that I found out
- chocolate itself does not cause cavities. Cacao actually contains "antibacterial agents that fight tooth decay". (but sugar is a cause in cavities)
-Some studies SAY that chocolate may cause headaches, but there is little evidence of this ( who would have thought....)
-smell of chocolate may relax you. It increases theta waves in your brain.
-Chocolate contains "phenylethylamin". Its the same stuff our brain produces when we get happy or in love.
- to get "high" off of chocolate, you would have to eat about 25 pounds of chocolate at one time.
-chocolate doesn't raise your cholesterol
-Chocolate contains flavoids, which is also present in fruits, vegetables and teas.
-milk chocolate contains calcium.. DARK chocolate doesn't.
There was a lot more facts in this website about chocolate thats I didn't know before.

My sister stopped by CVS and came home with a chocolate bar I've never seen before. It was a Cadbury chocolate bar. Cadbury chocolate bars are imported to the United States from the United KIngdom. They are the top selling chocolate bars in the UK. My sister bought the dairy milk kind. I tried a piece of it and It was a creamy milk chocolate which melted in your mouth. I drank milk with it. I quickly became addicted to it and later went back to CVS to get my own. I found out that there is also a fruit and nut cadbury bar. I bought a milk chocolate bar and a fruit and nut because I wanted to try it also. There were raisins and almonds in the fruit and nut bar. I didn't like the nuts with the chocolate but the raisins and chocolate were the perfect combination! So, I just took out the nuts and ate the fruit with the chocolate. I liked it a little better than the plain milk chocolate.
Have you ever heard that chocolate don't serve just as a delicious treat? There is a more uncommon way to use chocolate.
In the last years especially in Japan, people start taking chocolate baths in order to skin.
Basically what they do,is that they mix chocolate with magnesium(in order not to eat the chocolate) and poor it in a bath tub,a person gets in there and is being wrapped with an aluminum space blanket in order for it to sweat.
That makes your skin soft as that of a baby for a whole week.
I think it every kids dream is to swim in a bath tub full of chocolate.
This is a crazy idea but seems to get more and more popular...
Would you like to take such a bath?
Well Thanksgiving is coming up soon, and I' don't really ever cook, but I do bake. I've tried to make all sorts of pies and cakes in the past, and failed miserably. It's kinda sad, so I usually stick to baking chocolate chip, and sugar cookies. Last year though I tried something new. I made caramel chocolate Fondue, and it was delicious. I think part of the reason it came out so good is because it was quite simple to make. I got the instructions from this website http://www.recipezaar.com/39983 but there are many different types of way to make it. The only ingredients you need is; sweetened condensed milk, caramel topping and unsweetened chocolate. The chocolate HAS to be unsweetened, if not it will kill the taste with excess sugar. It's very simple and quick to make and guest will love the idea of getting to dip strawberries (or whatever fruit) into the rich creamy fondue. Just be sure to make a little space for dessert, its the second best part!
A few days ago I was walking around Tysons Mall and I saw something in a store's window that caught my eye. There on a tray were bright red strawberries dipped in chocolate. My FAVORITE! They looked absolutly PERFECT. I soon found myself inside that Godiva store. I didn't know they had one because I usually never paid any attention to that area of the mall. Inside of the store was a chocolate heaven. They had all types of chocoaltes and sweets. They had a lot of boxed chocolates, a perfect gift for any occasion. Even though I think the price of Godiva products are extremely expensive, they are worth it. They even have Godiva coffee and hot cocoa. My birthday was last week and I recieved a box of Godiva chocolate from a good friend of mine. My eyes brightened as I opened the gift. I already ate half of the box. It delicious! If you haven't sampled Godiva yet, you should. Check out their website if you want to see what types of chocolate they have:

Wasnt sure what exactly to post about until about two hours ago..whenever my roommate scared me to death. I was eating a Krispy Kreme donut...glazed with chocolate icing...and I took a drink of my soda. Well not thinking, my roommate, who's unfortunately allergic to all chocolate except white chocolate, takes a drink of my soda. Well needless to say, about ten mintues later her lips swell up and she has trouble breathing. It scared the crap out of me, but in the end she was okay. So the whole point of this post is to talk about being allergic to chocolate. How bad would that be? I know we all buy lots of cakes and stuff for our room, and she can't eat any because she's allergic. She cant enjoy the things we can..like chocolate ice cream, M&Ms, hot chocolate, a plain ol' Hershey bar, chocolate milk...etc. But of course she can eat white chocolate....they have white choclate M&Ms that she eats. I couldnt imagine not being able to any chocolate except white chocolate. As most of you know, white chocolate isn't one of my favorite things in the world. The only kind of chocolate I really like is milk chocolate. So not being able to eat that, would be very upsetting. Also, because so many good things are made with chocolate...she has trouble finding good snacks to eat. It sucks. I never realized how popular chocolate is until I met her. She is constantly turning food down because it contains chocolate. Def couldnt imagine living that way! Anyone know somebody who's allergic to chocolate?
A lot of people think chocolate gives u pimples. I read in a Health Foods book that this was just a myth. From my personal experience, I can say that it doesn't because I eat chocolate all the time and rarely ever get pimples. But several people I know have told me that after they eat chocolate they almost instantly get a pimple. I don't understand why people claim it gives them pimples, ifs its just myth. I looked at some websites online and in this one particular ( http://www.faqs.org/qa/qa-3746.html ), I read that most people believe that it is not true. They say pimples simply come from bacteria, touching your face with dirty fingers, hair products like oil, etc. The ones that do believe this, say that chocolate has a lot of sugar which blocks up your pores and gives you pimples. None of these responses really helped except one. It was by a 53 year old man that said since he was a teenager he had gotten pimples from chocolate without fail, and he has a daughter and a son that have the same problem. But whenever they stop eating chocolate there faces clear up, and they break out again when they hear the whole "pimple myth" story and eat chocolate. He goes on to say that he believes it is genetic and it doesn't apply to everyone, which is why some people get it and some don't. He also says that the possible reason this is seen as the myth is that the scientific research done on this was paid by chocolate investors, who obviously didn't want to minimize the sale of chocolate by this dispute. I think this makes the most sense out of everything I read and heard about the "chocolate pimple myth."
I had a slice of toast for breakfast the other day and I didn't have anything to put on it. I was craving some chocoalte, so I decided to go to the grocery store to pick up a jar of Nutella. Nutella is a delicious chocolate spread that you can put on almost anything. I love to eat it with bread and milk. It is the perfect combination. It is also good with some fruits like bananas or strawberries. If you havent tried Nutella yet, you definitely should! You can buy Nutella at any local grocery store such as Giant, Safeway, Shoppers, etc.
Hi...One of my favorite chocolate is that that is inside of the candy Ferrero Rocher Raffaello.Raffaello is made in Belgium and is one of the best chocolate that i have ever eaten. The outer layer is made of soft white chocolate sprinkeled with bits of coconuts, this part just melts in your mouth...But the best is still to come.Inside the candy is a sweet cream with an undescribable taste, inside is also an almond which gives an extra taste and completes this sweet miracle...
