Thanksgiving treats

Well Thanksgiving is coming up soon, and I' don't really ever cook, but I do bake. I've tried to make all sorts of pies and cakes in the past, and failed miserably. It's kinda sad, so I usually stick to baking chocolate chip, and sugar cookies. Last year though I tried something new. I made caramel chocolate Fondue, and it was delicious. I think part of the reason it came out so good is because it was quite simple to make. I got the instructions from this website http://www.recipezaar.com/39983 but there are many different types of way to make it. The only ingredients you need is; sweetened condensed milk, caramel topping and unsweetened chocolate. The chocolate HAS to be unsweetened, if not it will kill the taste with excess sugar. It's very simple and quick to make and guest will love the idea of getting to dip strawberries (or whatever fruit) into the rich creamy fondue. Just be sure to make a little space for dessert, its the second best part!

I went to Coldstone last night and I got the mint mint chocolate chocolate ice cream. The reason why I'm saying this is because they put so much chocolate syrup in it that it was disgusting. It was too rich and sugary that it felt like my teeth were rotting as I was eating the ice cream. It felt like I had a coat of sugar on my teeth. I couldn't finish the ice cream because I was starting to feel sick. So I know what you mean by not getting the sweetened chocolate because chocolate can be too sweet sometimes.

I don't know if you eat out alot, but have you ever heard of the Fondue Restaurant? I think they have one in DC and Old Town Alexandria. but anyways its basically what it says, a fondue restaurant where everything they serve is cut into bite-size chunks and served with fondue. when i went they started out with bread and your choice of cheese fondue. then you could cook the main course of meat or seafood in something... but i dont know it tasted good haha. the best was dessert! they had little chunks of marshmallow, cake, chocolate, fruits, etc all with your choice of chocolate/whitechocolate or caramel fondue! even though everything was served in bite-sizes i was stuffed by the end. and broke cause its a bit pricey.
